Worst Part of Couponing

Tonight I spent a couple of hours going through my binder and pulling all the coupons that expired in October out and tossing them.  That's the only boring part of this for me.  I have my binder arranged by categories in the store.  Mine was so full this month, I've had to just put the ones from newspaper inserts into zipper storage bags labeled by date.  I think I made enough room to be able to fit some that I'm sure will get used in there.

Glad that part of the job is done for the month.

How do you organize your binders...if you have one??

Love FREE things!

I'm happier than a pig in slop tonight.  Frank and I were going through coupons setting up the lists for later this week.  I've got coupons for FREE, absolutely FREE..... Two 2 liters of Dr. Pepper Ten, Two packages of  Idahoan boxed potatoes, one package of hot pocket snackers, and a free box of jolly time microwave popcorn.  I think this is the most freebie coupons I've ever had.  It's kind of sad how excited I am by this.  Of course, I'm also the person who gets giddy when I find cash in a jacket I haven't worn for a long time.  :)

Just a hint... if you ever get a product that isn't as it should be, don't hesitate to e-mail the company.  I did this for the hot pocket snackers.  We bought a bag that said it had 12 in it, but there were only 7.  I e-mailed them, and they gave mailed me a coupon for a free item.  We've also had a lot of luck using the contact us link on companies websites.  Most don't give free items, but a lot of them will snail mail you coupons.  That's how we got the Jolly Time one.  If you're in an area where you can get purchase Turkey Hill products, we requested coupons from them and they were quite generous.  I believe we got 6 coupons from them.

Sheetz My Card

Just a word of warning to any of you who have a Sheetz My Card... and if you ever go to a Sheetz convenience store, you really should....make sure you go to sheetz.com and register your card.  I've just recently found out that every couple of weeks, they make freebies available to card holders.  If you don't register your card, you won't get the e-mails notifying you of the freebie.  I know in the last 2 weeks, I missed out on free Dr. Pepper 10, and a Milky Way candy bar.  The cashiers are supposed to tell you to register it, but they didn't tell me.

FREE after rebate...Coffee Creamer

If you go to La Creme's facebook page, you can print out a rebate form to get FREE creamer.  I've been wanting to try this.  Perfect timing.  You all know how much I love anything that's FREE!

Additional CVS Deal 10/8/11

A printable coupon just came out for $2 off of Listerine Zero.  CVS has them for $4 and you get $2 in extra care bucks.  I took 2 coupons,  purchased two bottles, and got 2 ECB's for $2 each plus $1 for this being the 4th time I scanned my green bag tag.  In the end, the ECB's even covered my sales tax making both bottles essentially  free.  I REALLY love free stuff.  :)

Deals For The Week Of 10/2-10/8/11

At CVS this week, I bought $38.83 worth of items for just $11.33.  Plus I got $5 in extra care bucks to use on my next item.  I got some Cover Girl Make Up among other things

I hit Giant tonight.   I saved a total of 32% on my order.  I also got a catalina coupon (from the check out) for $10 off my next order.  I also had enough points to get a certificate for 5% off my next order as well.  I need to use that before next Saturday.

I also stopped at Karn's.  They were having some really good meat deals so I stocked up to fill the freezer.  They had Perdue oven roaster/stuffers for 88 cents a pound.  I bought 3 of those.  They also had boneless skinless chicken breasts for $1.49 a pound when you buy 10 lbs. and New York strip steaks for $4.99 if you buy the whole strip, which they cut to your preference for free.    So I spent some money there, but I got a really good deal.
